R and R – Putty Beach, Australia

Been working hard for the last few months so it was time for a bit of R+R.
Putty Beach, on the New South Wales Central Coast, is the perfect place.   I’ve camped here before, and it is a trampers paradise.
Beautiful beach, friendly locals, easy hitchhiking, convenient general store for re-supplying, and most importantly, a large timbered public reserve where I have camped for weeks at a time without any hassles only 50 meters or so from the water.   5 stars!
This time of year (August) the water is still cold, but I spent a lot of time lying in the sun, and sitting by my camp fire staring at the stars.  Three days later I’m revived, tanned, and ready to take on the European continent!
