Bob and I have been busking down the beach at Teluk Chempeduk most nights this week. It’s great fun and it’s been a great opportunity for me to make a bunch of new friends. Aki – who plays flute with us – invited us to play a couple of songs at a local cultural festival last weekend.
I made an effort to look as Malaysian as possible but I had a bit of trouble working out how to wear my skirt properly…

(Photos above: before the event on the weekend Bob and I got to hang out with the festival’s director, Abang – pictured with pirate blaster. He gave me a lesson in how to dress up proper, traditional Malaysian style. Bob got to play with a funky Indian suitcase accordion-piano thingy. Thanks for the photo Bob!)
