I rock up in London at about 1 in the am.
I send Erik a text and like a trooper, he crawls out of bed and lets me into the flat.

Erik lives in a tower block in Whitechapel.
I stayed with Erik for a week or so when I was in London last time. We both have the same perverse sense of humour so I’m really happy to be hanging out with him again.

We have a good old sleep in the next day. We ring up my Innis & Gunn connection in London. I jump on Erik’s bike and shoot down the road to pick up a couple of slabs of IPA.
By some incredible stroke of luck, the pick up spot is only about 5 kilometres away from Erik’s.

We have a healthy liquid lunch.

When Erik is in a jolly mood I lay out the challenge.
“J.U.I. Juggling under the influence. Are you up for it mate?”
“Of course,” he snears, his juggler pride offended. “We have had only six beers. I will juggle. I will juggle any way you like. Let us make this interesting. I will juggle, J.U.I., and what is more, I will juggle cans of IPA, and I will do it on the roof!”

You can always count on Erik to “yes and” any crazy idea. You rock mate!
